Action Africa Help – International (AAH-I) is an African-led, non-governmental organization that aims to improve the quality of life for vulnerable communities across East and Southern Africa. The organization works in areas such as food and income security, health care, education, and disaster risk reduction through programs that support self-reliance, including through innovative livelihood initiatives and basic service delivery. AAH-I has programs in countries like South Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Somalia, and Kenya and has extensive experience working in conflict and post-conflict environments, as well as with marginalized groups such as refugees, pastoralists, and urban poor.
Focus and activities
Livelihood and food security: AAH-I develops and implements sustainable livelihood programs and provides support for food security.
Health and education: The organization focuses on delivering basic services, including improving access to health care and education for communities, with a specific focus on women, children, and youth.
Humanitarian relief: It provides humanitarian relief and recovery programs, especially for displaced and refugee populations, aiming for sustainable solutions.
