The alliance emphasizes a locally-led approach to development and aid by organizing member organizations into national and regional forums to promote collaboration and context-specific responses. It is supported by a global secretariat and focuses on key issues like climate change, food security, gender justice, and influencing policy through its various forums, including the European Union-focused ACT Alliance EU.
