AboutAccess Center for Human Rights (ACHR)
The Access Center for Human Rights (ACHR) is a Syrian refugee-led, non-profit human rights organization that documents and exposes human rights violations against refugees. Founded in 2017 and registered in Lebanon and France, it is run by Syrian refugees with professional backgrounds in law, journalism, and human rights who are committed to fighting impunity and upholding the rule of law. The organization advocates for the rights of refugees and their safe return to their home countries.
Mission: To investigate and expose human rights violations against refugees and advocate for accountability.
Leadership: Led by Syrian refugees who were forced to seek asylum in Lebanon due to their pro-democracy activism in Syria.
Stance: Operates with a non-religious, non-sectarian, and non-political stance.
Focus: Works to protect the rights of refugees and pushes for their voluntary, dignified, and safe return to their countries of origin.
Activities: Conducts research, publishes reports on human rights issues like forced deportations, and advocates for refugees’ rights.
